CONVENTION"MUEVETE POR LA COSTA" (TRAVEL ACROSS THE COAST)
Allows to complete an academic semester in the IES of the Colombian Caribbean.
For additional information about other universities check with the Secretary of Internationalization.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- To have an accumulated GPA equal to or higher than 3.5.
- Not having any disciplinary sanctions.
- Having completed 4 semesters or the equivalent to 60 academic credits.
- Specific requirements from the host university.
Before applying, we recommend visiting the University's web page of the University of your interest so that you can check that the study plan of your desired career has subjects that you need to take. Ideally when you reach the Secretary of Internationalization you will have a better idea about your national or international mobility plans.
PROCEDURE TO PARTICIPATE
- Go to the Secretary of Internationalization and let them know that you are interested in an international or national mobility.
- Arrange a meeting with your Program Director and show him your course structure and a pre-selection of the subjects that you wish to study.
- When you get the approval of your Program Director, report to the Secretary of Internationalization to have them check the availability of the subjects in the host university.
- Register by filling out the National or Abroad Academic Semester Request Form for CUC Students. You must annex the documents required by the host IES and the ones required by CUC.
- You must fulfill the pre-selection process based on an internal opening. The Secretary of Internationalization will inform you if you are pre-selected to apply to the host Institute.
- If you are pre-selected, the Secretary of Internationalization will send your application to the host Institute. Within a period of approximately 30 days, they will respond to your application. When we get their response we will inform you of their decision.
- Enjoy your national/international academic experience.
- Once you finish your studies abroad, you must approach the CUC Secretary of Internationalization to share your experience as well as annexed photos of your travel.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- National or Abroad Academic Semester Request Form for CUC Students.
- Application form from the host University.
- Certification of grades and completed subjects during the entire career (Academic Records).
- Curriculum Vitae with a picture.
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher or academic authority from the Academic Program which you belong to.
- A letter detailing why you are interested in studying at the host University.
- A letter of financial solvency from your parents or legal guardian.
CONDITIONS
- Students must pay for their semester or academic credits at Universidad De la Costa and the host Institute will accept them without requiring any further payments.
- The host institute chosen on your mobility plans reserves its right of admission of the CUC student aspiring to study an academic semester.
Deadline for document submission:
- Second Semester 2015 (July to November): April15, 2015.
- First Semester 2016 (January to May): October 15, 2015.
